WOLFDOG
OUTREACH PROGRAMS
FOR THE COMMUNITY
Offered through AHA
Wild, Wild Wolf:
This program
is for all wolf Sanctuaries and any other organization that houses wolves or
wolf hybrids.
Must currently
be associated with a sanctuary to take this seminar or with another qualifying
agency.
Wolf Saviors:
This is a
program geared towards all Hybrid rescue/Exotic Animal Rescues/and regular
rescues that may take in Wolf-Dog Hybrids and/or Wolves in the course of their
operations as a Rescue Shelter. Taught
in this seminar is wolf Identification, behavior , handling techniques, and
much more. There are actually two parts
to this course. Part one deals with Wolves and their behavior and habits and
part two deals with the Wolf-Dog more specifically.
The Companion Wolf-Dog:
This program
is offered as a certification program to all potential Wolf-Dog Handlers,
Owners and Potential Owners.
Einstein’s Wolves:
This is our
educators program for schools and any other organizations that wish to teach
about wolves in their classrooms or in any other group setting. There are
programs within this section geared specifically for different age groups and
abilities (Children, teens, Adults, Special needs and much more) Educators only please.
Currently we are working on the Warriors and Wolfdogs rehabilitation project. This will be ready in about 6 months. The purpose is to introduce soldiers suffering from PTSD to wolfdogs, and to help heal the wounded hearted thru the unconditional and deep love of the canine.
NEW PROGRAM!BASIC LIFE SUPPORT FOR THE CANINES
–
LEVEL 1
This is a new program being offered
by AHA.
This is for all those who either own
canines or work closely with them, as in doggy day care, Etc. this level is
recommended for the general public. This course is a 6 hour course.

NEW PROGRAM!ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT FOR THE CANINE
– LEVEL 2
This is for those
professionals who may work with dogs on a day today basis, such as Law
Enforcement, Firefighters, Hospitals, Rescues, Etc. This class builds on what
was previously learned in Level 1 and also builds on it by expanding to topics
such as:

Canine anatomy and
physiology
·
Introduction to canine
pharmacology
·
Administration of IV
fluids
·
Advanced airway
management and intubation
·
Aggressive trauma
intervention
Pre-requisite: FSDS Canine BLS Certification
We will use life sized, critical care manikins
and state of the art equipment to acquaint students at this level with the
basics of intubation and IV administration. All students present, are given
ample opportunities to practice and develop their skills during this course. Both of these programs will be up and fully
running by the end of this year, winter 2013.
